whatsapp is working to bring many new features to its messaging app, we already know that but can hardly guess when exactly they will be made available or if they will be ready for prime time soon. The following new privacy features are a long time in the making, but starting today they will be rolled out to everyone WhatsApp users. New options for your privacy management settings will be available soon, so if you’ve always wanted to keep your profile picture or status private for certain contacts, you can do that now. The newly added features provide some basic controls that you can customize right away.
For example, you can adjust privacy settings to control who can see your information, such as profile picture, about, status, or when you were last seen. The following options are now being rolled out to WhatsApp:
- Everybody: Your last seen, profile picture, about or status is available to all WhatsApp users.
- My contacts: Your last seen, profile picture, about, or status is only available to your contacts from your address book.
- My contacts except…: Your last seen, profile picture, about or status is available to your contacts from your address book, except those you exclude.
- No one: Your last seen, profile picture, about or status is not available to anyone.
