Verizon Captures Network Quality Rewards Again Unlike T-Mobile’s 5G rollout is bragging about not too long ago. While T-Mobile has a real 5G network advantage in both speeds and coverage, the 4G/LTE blanket is still the widest and robustness is more important, at least for now.
That’s exactly trueVerizon’s network shines for the 29th time in a row (will be an anniversary soon), according to a new JD Power study, with Verizon itself promising to expand its 5G network efforts to catch up in that regard as well.
JD Power’s surveys, whether it be the purchase of new cars or the quality of the carrier’s network, are based on fairly detailed questionnaires that leave no stone unturned and generally provide an accurate picture of where an industry or a sector is located. This time, they surveyed more than 34,174 U.S. carrier subscribers between January and June 2022 for a complete H1 2022 picture of cell phone connectivity, coverage and speeds.
Verizon customers had the least number of dropped calls or data/message connectivity issues and were most satisfied with their carrier in five of the six US regions surveyed: Northeast, West, Southeast, Mid-Atlantic, and North Central. According to Kyle Malady, EVP, Global Networks and Technology for Verizon:
Our customers recognize the importance of consistent, reliable performance they can count on. The JD Power awards are recognized as the “voice of the consumer” and Verizon’s history of success means savvy consumers know the unparalleled performance and value that Verizon offers against our competitors.
