These 15 Apple Arcade Games Are Coming Soon

Written by admin

Apple Arcade is adding new games every month, but did you know that the game service will soon remove titles from your subscriptions? It turns out that Apple is planning to retire games – there’s a new “Arcade Leaving Soon” section and currently 15 games are waiting to be discontinued.

Games Leaving Apple Arcade:

  • Projection: first light
  • life slide
  • Diverse daylife
  • EarthNight
  • Atone: Heart of the Elder Tree
  • About the Alps
  • Dread Nautical
  • Cardpocalypse
  • Towaga: Under the Shadows
  • Dead end job
  • Do not bother me!
  • spell drifter
  • spider saurs
  • Explots
  • BattleSky Brigade: Harpooner

There is no exact date given, but if you dig deep into it Apple’s support pages, you will find an explanation of what happens when a game is removed from the service. If you downloaded the game before it leaves Arcade, you can apparently play it for another two weeks. After that period, or if you try to start a game that is no longer available, you will get a “No longer available” message. It’s a strange policy, but a MacRumors source sheds some light on the schematic. According to this internal source, when the service got off the ground, Apple Arcade signed three-year contracts with game developers in 2019.

Now some of these contracts are expiring and some won’t be renewed, which begs the current situation (Considering that Apple Arcade launched in September, the expiration date of these “games leaving Arcade” should be September 2022). Don’t worry, these developers may want to make their games available on the App Store instead, so all is not lost.
