T-Mobile brings stable Android 12 goodies to its OnePlus Nord N200 5G

About a year after its commercial debut, it’s still hard to imagine a list (however short) of the best budget phones out there without the OnePlus Nord N200 5G on it. T-Mobile customers in particular who are strapped for cash may have a hard time resisting the temptation to trade in an old device (even a “dumb” one) get this perfectly acceptable mid ranger for free.

Of course, one important thing was missing from the value comparison of the Magenta-specific Nord N200 after its 2021 debut on Android 11, and now it seems that the second-largest US wireless service provider is also taking care of this “inconvenience”.
Tipping the scales at nearly 4GB (!!!) this goodie pack is especially noteworthy because it represents the first and only major OS promotion to ever go to the ultra-cheap 6.5-incher. As such, OnePlus (and T-Mobile) have to do everything right from the start to keep their customers happy.
Obviously, future bug fixes and patches (mainly for security reasons) are always possible, but if you consider the OnePlus Nord N200 5G today, it is crucial to keep in mind that you will never be able to taste the sweet of Google Android 13 update.
Let’s hope Android 12 (with OxygenOS 12 on top) will be nice, stable and smooth enough for most users lucky enough to get the update today… or in one of the next waves in the coming days and weeks.
