Samsung’s Galaxy S20 series and the Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra now all get Android 13

Well, this is really crazy! It was only a few weeks ago that Samsung officially launched its first over-the-air Android 13 updates (in a handful of countries), and after spreading the love to Galaxy S22, S22+ and S22 Ultra users around the world, the global leader in the mobile industry now deals with three different handsets families for the same OS promotion.

Somewhat unexpectedly, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4 aren’t ready to go into the stable yet One UI 5 feast, with Samsung instead prioritizing the Galaxy S20, S20+, S20 Ultra, Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra alongside the S21, S21+ and S21 Ultra.
Released all the way back in 2020, these bad boys are not guaranteed to receive Android 14 down the line, having been promised three major OS updates following its debut on Android 10.
That makes this incredibly topical Android 13 promotions are even more impressive than they appear at first glance. It also makes it particularly important for Samsung gets every little UI tweak, new feature, optimization and customization right off the bat… even if minor updates are undoubtedly still in the pipeline.
It is of course much too early to know if everything is going well, especially since the Galaxy Note 20 and Rollout of the S20 Series appear to be restricted to fewer regions than their S21 family counterpart. Switzerland and Germany in particular, although more countries should definitely participate in the coming days (even hours).

Don’t forget to manually check for an update if you’re eager to leave Android 12 (and One UI 4) behind, and be patient if you can’t quite get a taste of those sweet Android 13 treats (with One UI 4 at the top) very soon.

These are just wonderfully early updates (even by Samsung’s sky-high standards set in recent years), and that won’t change if you have to wait an extra week or two for a global expansion.
