Samsung is without a doubt the world heavyweight champion in software support, as far as both Android smartphones and Wear OS smartwatches are concerned, but even the best of the best tech companies can sometimes screw up an update, spreading more bugs than useful new features.
Of course there are buggy implementations… and then there are catastrophic issues that don’t just negatively impact the user experience, making it virtually impossible to use an “updated” device.
This is essentially the closing of the two smartwatches released in 2021, but bizarrely that doesn’t happen immediately after installing the respective “VI3” update. Instead, many people say that their problems started when their Galaxy Watch 4 series units turned off for the first time after installation, which somehow prevents the devices from turning back on.
That means you don’t have to reboot or completely drain your portable device… unless, of course, you want to waste your time at a Samsung repair location.
