While most Motorola fans have their sights set on the Razr 2022 and X30 Pro (which were set to launch in China on August 2, but the event has now been cancelled), there are a number of other smartphones from the company along the line that have caught our eye.
We are talking about the Motorola Edge range, which has reportedly been in development for a while. As early as March 2022, prominent tipster Evan Blass leaked information in an article for 91mobiles that Motorola has been working on no less than 4 Motorola Edge-branded smartphones.
The 4 devices had no official names at the time, instead they were stuck with their production code names. Nevertheless, preliminary predictions at the time pointed to a possible launch in 2022. Now it seems that we are getting closer to the release of at least one of the smartphones.
Pricebaba, in an official partnership with noted leaker Steve Hemmerstoffer (better known as OnLeaks), has shared official press views of the tentatively named Motorola Edge 2022, the device previously codenamed Dubai+. The renders are exclusively available on The official website of Pricebaba.
The renders show a largely familiar design, with a central perforated camera and a slightly ticker bottom bezel. There’s no fingerprint scanner on the back, so the device will likely have one and display one below.
The back panel of the smartphone is slightly curved, while the camera module seems to consist of three sensors. There is a single USB-C port, with no audio jack.
Pricebaba has also listed the rumors about the specifications of the device, which you should take with a grain of salt. Among them are a 6.5-inch OLED Full HD+ display with a 144 Hz refresh rate, a 50-megapixel main camera sensor and a 32-megapixel selfie camera. The device is powered by a currently unconfirmed new MediaTek chip.
