Pixel 6a shades: all official shades

Written by admin
This year, Google’s affordable phone, the Taking a page from the Pixel 6’s lookbook, the Pixel 6a has the same eye-catching design for its camera bump (excuse me, camera bar) and two-tone colors for its back. Not only that, Mountain View now offers three color options for the latest mid-ranger (big improvement over the one color the Pixel 5a came in). This way, regardless of your style and preferences, you can choose your new Pixel 6a that suits them.
Here we’ll examine the three colors in a little more detail, and we’ll have even more information once we get the phone running.

What colors will the Pixel 6a be available in?

Available for pre-order starting July 21 (in stores July 28), the Pixel 6a is available in three colors, with Google-esque fancy names: Sage, Chalk, and Charcoal. The Sage option looks like a light mint green, Chalk is a white tinged with gray and Charcoal is a dark grey/black shade.

Pixel 6a colors:

Now that being said, let’s take a look at those three colors in a little more detail.

Pixel 6a colors

This year, Google has thought a little more about colors and the successor to the Pixel 5a has three different colorways. Of course, here are also the recognizable two-tone and camera bar that the flagship Pixel 6 and 6 Pro have. The Pixel 6a’s colors are a bit more conservative, but don’t let that fool you: these color options have character.

Pixel 6a in sage

The signature color for the Pixel 6a is Sage, a beautiful greenish-gray color that resembles the color of dried sage leaves. In keeping with the interesting camera bar design, the top part of the phone is tinted in a slightly lighter, fresher color while the rest of the phone’s body is tinted in this darker green. The phone has a black aluminum frame, while the Google logo is green to match the back.

This color is quite sophisticated, we might add. This time, Google has decided to finally offer us an exciting color for its mid-range and we’re quite happy with this color option that makes it the 6a (yes, we remember the only color the Pixel 5a was available in… guessed it good – Black), so this is a new change.

If you want your phone to be colorful and exciting, you will love this color. Plus, it’s a trendy color option, so it goes well with everything.

Pixel 6a in chalk

The chalk color for the Pixel 6a is a mostly white color with a hint of grayish tint, again with the unique two-tone look. You’d think Chalk is just a fancy name to call the white color option for the Pixel 6a, but if you focus a little more on this color, you’ll notice that it has a bold grayish hue, and the top part of the phone is even more strikingly gray.

The black frame and camera bar are also there for a recognizable Pixel look. The Google logo on the back is painted gray. Overall, this color is certainly not a typical solid white and has character. You might like this one if you want your phone to look sophisticated but not too colorful or flashy.

Pixel 6a in charcoal

For those of you on the more conservative side, Google offers the Pixel 6a in Charcoal as well. The color looks quite dark, but it’s not just a black option for your new phone, it actually looks more like dark gray rather than plain black (and probably the lighting conditions will play a part in that too). This color is great for those of you on the more conservative side, and it gives a seamless look to the Pixel 6a.

The top part of the phone (above the camera bar) has a gray finish, while the rest of the phone is dark. At the moment we have no information whether this color will have a matte finish (but most likely it will) so as not to attract fingerprints.

Conclusion: which Pixel 6a color suits you best?

Today, phones are becoming more than tools, and for many potential buyers, design and color do matter. It is important to choose the phone in the color that makes you happy, as we look at our phones every day, several times a day. So choose the Pixel 6a color that suits your preference and style.

All three colors that Google has prepared for the Pixel 6a look great, and with that camera bar design and two-tone look, your new phone will look cool no matter which color you choose.

That said, if we had to give you specific advice on which color to choose, go for the color that gets you excited. You know, charcoal is the new black, Sage will make you smarter, and Chalk unleashes the mathematician in you (you know, there’s nothing nerdy than scribbling math equations on a 50’s blackboard with some chalk – but don’t do this with your new phone!).
