the 200 MP The Motorola flagship we’ve been hearing about for months is finally ready for showtime. Motorola has teased a May 10 launch
and a Twitter leaker believes the company is referring to the Border.
has also revealed specs for the phone and they match previous rumours. The headliner feature is the alleged 200MP main camera, which would make the Frontier the first phone with that many megapixels. If this would cause the handset to best camera phone of 2022 remains to be seen.
That’s because a higher megapixel count doesn’t necessarily equate to a better camera. That said, hardware has its own advantages, so we’ll have to wait to find out if Samsung’s ISOCELL HP1 gives the Frontier an edge over other phones. Samsung says the sensor will produce detailed photos and offer “unmatched low-light performance.” It also supports 8K video recording.
A disadvantage of the sensor is that it takes up a lot of space, but that is to be expected from a 1/1.22 inch sensor.
This sensor will apparently be accompanied by a 50MP ultra-wide camera and a 12MP telephoto camera. The selfie shooter will reportedly be 60 MP and will be housed in a pinhole.

The device will reportedly be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus, a rumored upgraded version of the Gen 1 that is expected to be faster and more power efficient. The chip is paired with up to 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
The Frontier, which will be sold under the name Edge 30 Ultra, will apparently have a curved 6.67-inch OLED panel with a very high refresh rate of 144 Hz for smoother visuals. The phone is expected to pack a 4,500mAh battery and could offer better charging performance than previous Motorola phones. Leaks say the handset will support 125W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
The device is likely to go on sale next quarter and will initially only be available in China.
