New Disney-themed tablet now available exclusively from Verizon

Written by admin

Verizon just launched a new product for kids, the TCL TAB Disney Edition. The affordable tablet is available exclusively at Verizon and costs no more than $200. TCL’s slate promises all the basic features you’d expect in a tablet, with a pinch of Disney characters on it. In other words, you get a cheap tablet with decent specs, perfectly suitable for your child. Specifically, the TCL TAB Disney Edition comes with an 8-inch full-HD display with durable DragonTrail glass and a rubber bumper shell to protect against scratches and drops. There’s no mention of the chipset inside, but we’ve learned that the tablet is powered by a 2GHz octa-core processor, paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage (up to 256GB via microSD).

The TCL TAB Disney Edition has a standard 8 megapixel main camera and a secondary 5 megapixel front camera for selfies and video chats. It’s also important to mention that the 5,500 mAh battery should provide up to 17 hours of use on a single charge. Surprisingly, the tablet features 4G LTE connectivity and comes with a fold-out kickstand for easy access to entertainment.

As for the Disney stuff, there’s a ton of Disney themed content preloaded on the tablet, including games, puzzles, and wallpapers. For example, there are five unique games featuring Disney characters that can be played right out of the box on the tablet, including Icy Shot (ft. Anna & Elsa), Beauty (ft. Belle & Lumiere), and The Lion Guard (ft. King) .

Apparently the TCL TAB Disney edition is only available through Verizon’s Official Retail Channels† Theoretically, you won’t find the tablet at Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart or any other US retailer for now.
