Motorola’s unannounced Moto G42 should come as no mystery to those following tech news as the phone has leaked quite a few times in the past. We even knew what it looks like and had an idea of what was under the hood before the most recent leak revealed all the important information.
First off, there’s a new high-resolution photo of the phone published by GizPaw, which shows the Moto G42 from almost all angles. The new photo doesn’t really bring anything new, except that we now know what the phone looks like in blue.
What is interesting about the report is that it contains all the information about the specifications of the phone. While we knew that the Moto G42 would come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chipset, not much was known about the phone’s specs until now.
That said, it looks like the Moto G42 is, as expected, a standard mid-range phone. The phone will reportedly have a 6.4-inch OLED display with FHD+ resolution and a massive 5000mAh battery with 18W fast charging.
The The Snapdragon 680 processor is paired with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. The phone will also have a triple camera setup (50MP main camera, 8MP ultra-wide camera, 2MP macro camera) and a 13MP front-facing camera seen in the image above.
A side-mounted fingerprint sensor is also included, along with a 3.5mm audio jack and, of course, Android 12 with Motorola’s MyUX on top. The only details that remain a mystery at this point relate to price and availability, but we’ll likely get this information when Motorola officially makes the Moto G42 official.
