Apple did some on leakers last year by unveiling a watch with minimal design changes. To be fair to insiders, nothing is official until Apple announces it. Anyway, the design tipsters thought was for the Apple Watch Series 7, was actually for the Watch Series 8 apparently.
Numerous reports had said that the Apple Watch Series 7 would have a flat-edged design, but it didn’t and the watch came with rounder sides and a larger screen instead. ShrimpApplePro
a relatively new leaker on the scene, who was also the first to talk about the iPhone 14 Pro redesign, has heard from their sources that a future Apple Watch model, likely the Series 8, could have flat glass.
Leaked render shows the flat screen of Apple Watch Series 8
While reporting on an unannounced Apple Watch model with a flat screen last year, FrontPageTech
had said the new design might be for the Watch Series 8 and not the 7, which is exactly what happened. They’ve now created new renders to give us a preview of what the watch might look like. The flatter screen and flatter bezels give the wearable a more refined look and we’re definitely working on the new design. If you prefer a round watch, the Google Pixel Watch might be for you.
According to reports, the Watch Series 8 may offer enhanced atrial fibrillation monitoring and a body temperature sensor. The wearable may also offer a new power-saving mode to improve battery life and satellite connectivity, as well as new watch faces and workout types.
The watch will reportedly available in three sizes and possibly accompanied by a budget model and a tough version aimed at athletes. It will likely be announced in September along with the iPhone 14 series.
