If you’ve been watching the competitive smart speaker market in recent years, you may have wondered at one point or another how low Amazon and Google can possibly go with the prices of their smallest and humblest such devices.

While we obviously can’t give you a definitive answer at this point, Amazon-owned Woot is definitely pushing the boundaries of the Echo Dot’s affordability by charging, get this, a measly $9.99 for a pre-owned unit that’s been thoroughly tested. and verified to work flawlessly.

Of course we are not talking about the fourth generation small smart speaker released in 2020… or the third generation model from 2018, but rather the second generation version from 2016. That may sound old, but in the end all these devices are in is capable of practically the same things, listening to your every need and voice commands to play music, set alarms and reminders, and check the news, weather, traffic, etc., without ever lifting a finger.
If you’re not convinced by the appeal and usefulness of this great new deal, we have to point out that the dirt-cheap second-generation Echo Dot in black is also available in a special bundle, including an ever-handy Amazon Smart Plug for a combined price of $10.98.

All you need to do is add both items to your cart and Woot will automatically remove $11 from your order, meaning the Smart Plug itself costs just $0.99 right now.

As you can imagine, the Echo Dot promo (with or without a bundled Amazon Smart Plug) won’t last forever, but will instead have an expiration date of June 1 that Woot may or may not stick to, depending on demand. . White coated mini smart speakers with Alexa assistance are already out of stock, and the same could very soon happen to black units in “very good” condition.
