Only a few more weeks to go Samsung officially unveils the next-gen foldables: the Z Fold 4 and the Z Flip 4, at an Unpacked event on August 10. And yes, the hype is real: A new leak now shows a teaser from Samsung for the foldables, reports MySmartPrice.

Samsung’s Z Fold 4 and Flip 4 teaser leaks online

Yummy @chunvn8888 has now shared a Samsung teaser on Twitter for the upcoming Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4 Unpacked event. The short teaser video doesn’t reveal too much about the design of the foldables, but there have been generous leaks and there seems to be almost nothing left to reveal. As you can see in the video, Samsung says it has high hopes for this year’s foldables (you may recall that recently a Samsung CEO expressed ambitious views on the future of foldable devices). In a similar vein, the teaser says “Flex is bigger than flat”, and most likely this refers to Samsung’s Flex Mode, which foldable phones use to take advantage of their foldable screens.

Samsung foldable phones: Z Flip 4 and Z Fold 4, what to expect

The phones are expected to be officially unveiled on August 10, along with the next-gen Galaxy Watch 5 series. The two phones will have the latest and greatest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. The Z Fold 4 will reportedly come with a 6.2-inch cover display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The main display is expected to be a 7.6-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display, again with that fast and smooth 120Hz refresh rate. A selfie camera below the display ensures that a perforation hole does not disturb your view of the large screen of the foldable phone.

A triple camera setup on the back is also expected, with a 50-megapixel main camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens and a 12-megapixel telephoto camera.

The Z Fold 4 is expected to use 12 GB of RAM for smooth and hiccup-free multitasking, and 512 GB of storage (some regions can get up to 1 TB of storage). A 4,400mAh battery reportedly keeps the lights on, and a 45W fast charge means you won’t have to wait too long for your phone to charge.

As for the Z Flip 4, we expect a slightly more compact design compared to its predecessor (but not by much), the same powerful processor, a dual camera system and a larger outer screen.

We expect similar prices to last year’s phones. If anything, the phones may eventually be priced a bit higher, but as you know these are just rumors and leaks so far and nothing is certain including their prices before the official announcement.

The official event is scheduled for August 10, and until then we expect more leaks to pop up around the internet, so stay tuned!
