Display issues plague the Nothing Phone (1)

Written by admin

In recent months, the Nothing Phone (1) is one of the most discussed topics in the tech community. This device has a truly unique design, and with its Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+ – which is an upper mid-range processor – it should also offer good performance. However, it seems that the glamorous Nothing Phone is having some annoying display issues right now.

As MySmartPrice reported, a few users have noticed that their phones’ screens have a green tint to the top of their screens. If you’re unfamiliar with the green tint issue, it’s when gray colors turn green, usually when the screen is set to low brightness. In addition, a user on Twitter even reported that his Nothing Phone (1) had a dead pixel near his selfie camera, which appeared an hour after he got his new device.

Currently, nothing replaces defective units, but even the replacements suffer from the same display issues. As one user reported on Twitter, the two replacement phones that nothing sent them also had a green tint to their displays.

It should be noted that the Nothing Phone (1) is not the first handset to be plagued by the green tint issue. In the past, phones like the OnePlus 8 Pro, the Samsung Galaxy S20, and even the iPhone 11 Pro Max had the same display problem. At the time, the companies managed to restore the green tint to their phones through a software update. Unfortunately, there is no information as to what causes these frustrating display issues on the Nothing Phone (1) and whether they can be fixed with a software update alone.
