The tech community isn’t exactly known for its patience. Since we have the release date of the Galaxy Z Fold 4, and its smaller brother – the Galaxy Z Flip 4, are surfacing more and more pieces of information.
The latest round of rumors comes from a prominent leaker @IceUniverse, which has a proven track record when it comes to Samsung products. The leaks affect a number of aspects of the Galaxy Z Fold 4, including battery life, weight of the device and design.
First, IceUniverse . shared a tweet Regarding the series of “official” Z Fold 4 renders that are expected to flood the internet well before the release of the highly anticipated foldable (for reference, the launch date is August 10).
To no one’s surprise, IceUniverse posted renders of the Galaxy Z Fold 4 via Twitter shortly afterwards. reposted originally posted by 91mobiles. The photos show a familiar design, with some minor refinements and offer a preview of 3 of the color options.
Second, the next minor leak relates to the expected battery life of the Galaxy Z Fold 4. Many hoped to see significant improvements to the latter, but were disappointed when Samsung balked at increasing battery capacity.
Nevertheless, IceUniverse has claimed that the Fold 4’s battery life will actually be better than its predecessor. The main reason is the improved power efficiency of the SoC that powers the Fold 4 – the Snapdragon 8+.
Third, the last bit of information comes in the form of the Fold 4’s revised weight parameter. IceUniverse expects the foldable to weigh 263 grams. This means a net reduction of less than 10 grams. Essentially, this means that the Fold 4 will remain one of the toughest smartphones on the market.
As always, however, these leaks should be taken with a grain of salt. Nothing is certain until we get our hands on the Galaxy Z Fold 4 ourselves.
